Bergenheim Doubtful For Game 7
Bergenheim Questionable For Game 6
Sean Bergenheim, the leading playoff goal scorer, is questionable for the Lightning in Wednesday night's Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Bruins.
Bergenheim took part in Wednesday's morning skate, but did not wear full equipment and did not last the whole skate. He played just 4:19 in Game 5 before leaving with a lower-body injury.
Samuelsson Sidelined Following Surgery
Canucks forward Mikael Samuelsson is out indefinitely after having surgery to repair an adductor tendon and a sports hernia.
The injury had nagged Samuelsson all season and he hadn't played since aggravating it in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against Nashville on May 7.
Vancouver general manager Mike Gillis said in a statement that the team consulted with doctors and they advised that immediate surgery was the "best long-term decision" for Samuelsson.
Canucks' Ehrhoff, Rome May Miss Game 4
The Canucks depth could be severely tested in the Western Conference finals with the status of key defensemen Christian Ehrhoff and Aaron Rome in doubt heading into Sunday’s Game 4 against the Sharks, according to an Associated Press report.
The Canucks lead the series 2-1 but are coming off a 4-3 loss in Game 3 that could prove costlier than just one game if Ehrhoff and Rome are forced to miss time.
Bergeron Practices With Bruins
Patrice Bergeron returned to Bruins practice Monday morning for the first time since suffering a mild concussion on May 6.
It was the third consecutive day Bergeron has skated (and his first day with his teammates), but coach Claude Julien would not give a timetable on the assistant captain's return to the lineup.
"As I said the other day, we're going through the protocol of what he has to go through," Julien said. "There's not much more to update you guys on except that I think, when he is ready to go, I think you guys will know it.
"It's just something that you can't predict, how quickly, or how slow it's going to be. It's just one of those situations where, right now, you see him going through what you saw him going through today's skating. But that's protocol, and right now, we're not ready to make any comments because he's just going through those stages."
Bergeron To Miss Start Of Series
Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron is steadily progressing as he recovers from a mild concussion suffered a week ago against the Flyers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
Coach Claude Julien seemed a bit frustrated at updating the media on Bergeron's status but still did so, saying that all signs remain positive.
"I don't know if you guys share a conference before I get here and say who's asking the question today, but I am getting that question asked every day," Julien poked at the assembled media on Friday. "I think he's improving, he really is improving. We're optimistic about him. As [GM] Peter [Chiarelli] said, we knew he was going to miss the start of the series and how much he is going to miss I can't tell you right now."

Pronger To Have Back Surgery
Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger, who missed the majority of the postseason, will undergo surgery to remove a herniated disc from his spinal cord on Thursday, according to an ESPN.com report.
Pronger, 36, will undergo a procedure called a discectomy, which will be performed by orthopedic specialist Frank Cammisa at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

Ryane Clowe Unavailable For Game 6
Sharks winger Ryane Clowe has been ruled out for Game 6 against the Red Wings.

The winger leads the team in playoff scoring with 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 11 games.
