Langkow OK'd For Full-Contact Practice
Daymond Langkow has been cleared to resume full-contact practice with the Flames for the first time in more than a year.
The veteran center broke a bone in his neck when he was hit by teammate Ian White's shot on March 21, 2010.
There is no timetable for him to return to game action.
Malhotra Has Second Surgery On Eye
Canucks forward Manny Malhotra has had a second operation on his injured left eye.
Malhotra was struck in the face by a puck on March 16 in a game against the Avalanche.
"Manny Malhotra's health continues to be the primary concern of the hockey club," the team said in a statement. "Progress updates will be made available at the appropriate time."
The Canucks announced on March 21 that Malhotra was out for the season.
Zach Parise Practices Without Pain
Devils left winger Zach Parise practiced again Tuesday without pain in his right knee, five months after surgery.
He's practiced just three times since he was cleared to skate last month. Parise is not sure when he'll return to the ice after sitting out since Nov. 2 when he had surgery for a torn meniscus.
"I can't say one way or the other," he said. "It was nice to get another practice under my belt and it felt good to be out there."
New Jersey coach Jacques Lemaire said he liked the way Parise looked in practice.
"He's getting better and better," Lemaire said. "He looks fine and fit. He's been away for so long and he said he feels good after being back a week. Getting back to play will certainly give him confidence. It's always tough after a long injury."
Ovechkin Back On Ice Practicing
Alex Ovechkin is practicing again with the Capitals after taking a week off to recover from an undisclosed injury.
Ovechkin was back on the ice Monday and said he was "ready to go" for Tuesday night's game against Carolina.
Coach Bruce Boudreau is more cautious, saying Ovechkin skated well and may be back by the end of the week, according to an ESPN.com report.

Bruins center Marc Savard is having "real memory problems and he's quite worried about it," a source told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun.
Savard was placed on long-term injured reserve in early February with his second concussion in less than a year.
Stars' Eriksson Ready To Return
Forward Loui Eriksson, the Stars' second-leading scorer this season, appears ready to return to the lineup for Wednesday's game after missing the last two games with concussion-like symptoms, according to an ESPN.com report.
The Stars host the Ducks. Both teams are tied with 85 points for the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference playoff race, with Anaheim holding the edge with 10 games remaining in the regular season.
Flyers' Shelley Out Four Weeks
Flyers forward Jody Shelley will have surgery on Thursday to repair a broken bone in his face after getting hit by a puck below the left eye in practice on Monday, the team announced.
Shelley will be out for four weeks, which puts his return likely during the first round of the playoffs, according to an ESPN.com report.

Sharks rookie Logan Couture sat out practice Monday after leaving the previous game following a hard fall into the boards, but is relieved his injury is not nearly as serious as he originally feared.
Couture left Saturday's game early in the second period. He slammed hard into the boards and appeared to hurt his right leg. He had to be helped off the ice and is listed as day to day with a lower-body injury, according to an ESPN.com report.

Canucks center Manny Malhotra is out for the rest of the regular season and playoffs with an eye injury that required surgery, according to an ESPN.com report on Monday.
Malhotra was hit in the left eye by an errant puck during last Wednesday's game against Colorado, and underwent surgery later that night.
