Predators, Ellis Agree On New Deal

The Predators have agreed to terms on a new deal with defenseman Ryan Ellis.

Ellis will earn an average of $2.5M a year for five years, a source told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun. 

GM David Poile announced the deal Thursday before the Predators' preseason home opener against the Lightning.

The stalemate between the Rangers and defenseman John Moore has ended, with the 23-year old restricted free agent agreeing to terms on a one-year deal, a source confirmed to ESPN.com.

The deal is worth what would have been his original qualifying offer of $850,500, the source confirmed.
