Ottawa Senators (1992-Present) Though only a franchise for twenty years, Ottawa has enjoyed a great amount of regular season success, with four Northeast Division titles and one President’s Trophy (2002-03). They made the playoffs every year from 1996-97 to 2008-09, reaching two Conference Finals and one Stanley Cup Final, losing to Anaheim in 2007. Expect Daniel Alfredsson to become the first of the new Senators regime to one day be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. First Team C: Jason Spezza (2002-Present): 2nd most points with 547 in 539 games; franchise record 71 assists in 2005-06; 2008 All-Star; 46 points in 46 playoff games. W: Daniel Alfredsson (95-Present): Leader in all categories, 1,066 games 393-637-1,030, +133, 23 short handed goals, 122 power play goals; 5-time All-Star; 1996 Calder Trophy winner; 88 points in 107 playoff games; Team Captain 99-Present. W: Dany Heatley (2005-09): 180-182-362, +82 in only 317 games; only player to score 50 goals (twice, 55 & 53), owns best two single season point totals (105 & 103); 2-time All-Star. D: Wade Redden (96-2008): First in all offensive categories among defensemen (101-309-410, +159), 2nd most games (838); 2002 All-Star; 45 points in 94 playoff games. D: Zdeno Chara (2001-06): Managed a +109 rating and 146 points in only 299 games, 24 power play goals; 2003 All-Star; 14 points, +10 in 45 playoff games. G: Patrick Lalime (99-2004): Leader in games played (283), wins (146-100-46), GAA (2.32), SV% (.908), shutouts (30); 2003 All-Star (39 wins). Second Team C: Alexei Yashin (93-2001): 2nd most goals (218), 3rd most points (491), -59 in 504 games; 2-time All-Star; two 40-goal seasons. W: Marian Hossa (97-2004): 5th most points (390 in 467 games), +64, 2nd most game winning goals (32); 2-time All-Star; four straight 30-goal seasons. W: Radek Bonk (94-2004): 2nd most games by a forward (689), 4th most points (399), +24; 2-time All-Star; four straight 20-goal seasons. D: Chris Phillips (97-Present): Most games played by a defenseman (958), 239 points, +71; has missed one game since 2005-06. D: Andrej Meszaros (2005-08): 110 points, +24 in 246 games, shot-blocker extraordinaire; 39 points and +34 rookie season. G: Ron Tugnutt (96-200): Tied for 1st in GAA (2.32), 2nd in wins (72-51-29), 13 shutouts, .906 SV%; franchise-best 1.79 GAA in 1998-99; 1999 All-Star. Third Team C: Mike Fisher (99-2011): 2nd most short handed goals (14), 348 points, +21 in 675 games, most OT goals (7); four 20-goal seasons. W: Shawn McEachern (96-2002): 304 points, +25 in 454 games; two 30-goal seasons, two 20-goal seasons. W: Martin Havlat (2000-06): 235 points, +39 in 298 games; 20+ goals/50+ points three straight years. D: Jason York (96-2001): 4th most points (124 in 380 games), +21; two 30-point seasons. D: Erik Karlsson (2009-Present): Already 84 points in 148 games, but a -37; 2011 All-Star (13-32-45). G: Ray Emery (2002-08): Though mercurial, 3rd most wins (71-40-14) in only 134 games, 2.71 GAA, .907 SV%, 8 shutouts. Coaches Jacques Martin (96-2004): 341-234-102 in 692 games, plus 31-35 in the playoffs; 1999 Jack Adams winner.
