The Blue Jackets have signed forward Mike Blunden to a one-year, two-way NHL-AHL contract, Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and GM Scott Howson announced today. Blunden appeared in one game for the Blue Jackets in 2010-11. He collected 12 goals and nine assists for 21 points and had 41 penalty minutes in 37 games with the Springfield Falcons, Columbus’ AHL affiliate. He missed the majority of the season due to injury. The Toronto, Ontario native registered 2-2-4, 59 penalty minutes and was +3 in 40 games with the Blue Jackets in 2009-10.
