The Blue Jackets have signed defenseman Nick Holden to a one-year, two-way NHL-American Hockey League contract, Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and GM Scott Howson announced today. Holden, 24, made his NHL debut with the Blue Jackets against the Ducks on October 20 and was scoreless in five games with the club in 2010-11. Holden signed with Columbus as a free agent on March 28, 2008 and tallied 6-17-23 and 52 penalty minutes in 68 games with the Crunch in 2008-09.
