Brian Burke, President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that the club has signed 2009 draft pick Kenny Ryan to a three-year entry level contract. Ryan, 19, was originally the Maple Leafs’ second choice, selected 50th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. The right-winger played the past two seasons for the Ontario Hockey League’s Windsor Spitfires. In 2010-11, he collected 58 points on 21 goals and 37 assists with 42 penalty minutes in 60 games played. Prior to joining the Spitfires, Ryan spent two seasons playing in the USA Hockey National Team Development Program.
