This past offseason we introduced Obe?s Comprehensive Player Rankings, a complex way to rank players at their respective positions that looks beyond goals, assists, plus-minus, wins and goals against. Alexander Ovechkin was the top forward for 2009-10, Mike Green was the top defenseman, and Evgeni Nabokov the top goaltender. Through the first month of 2010-11, however, new names had surfaced atop each position. Ovehckin has dropped all the way to 42nd among forwards, while Green is 26th among blue-liners (Nabokov is playing in Russia). Take a look below at the top-10 players at each position, and click on the link to see more names and search for your favorite players.
