The Blue Jackets have signed forward Chad Kolarik to a one-year contract, GM Scott Howson announced today. As is club policy, terms were not disclosed. Kolarik, 24, was scoreless in two games with the Blue Jackets in 2009-10. He made his NHL debut at St. Louis on April 5. He combined to record 26 goals and 24 assists for 50 points and 55 penalty minutes in 76 games with the Syracuse Crunch and San Antonio Rampage, including 9-6-15 and 14 penalty minutes in 17 games with the Crunch, Columbus? AHL affiliate. Acquired by Columbus from Phoenix in exchange for forward Alexandre Picard on March 3, he has registered 46-54-100 and 102 penalty minutes in 152 career AHL games.
