The Thrashers have fired coach John Anderson and promoted Ricky Dudley to general manager. Previous Atlanta general manager Don Waddell was bumped up to the role of team president. "We thought we should have made the playoffs this year, so obviously we expect to next year," Dudley said. "We're at the point now where we can evolve into something pretty good, and pretty quickly."
