The Ducks announced Wednesday that the club has signed defenseman Mat Clark to a three-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, no terms of the deal were disclosed. The three-year contract begins with the start of next season (2010-11). Clark, 19, is currently competing in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Playoffs with the Brampton Battalion. In six postseason contests thus far, Clark has scored 2-4=6 points with a +2 rating and nine penalty minutes, leading all club defensemen in scoring. Selected by Anaheim in the second round (37th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Clark appeared in 63 contests with Brampton in his first OHL season, scoring 3-20=23 points with 91 PIM.
