The Ducks announced on Sunday that the club has signed center Nick Bonino to a two-year entry-level contract. Per club policy, no terms of the deal were disclosed. Bonino just completed his junior season at Boston University, scoring a team-leading 11-27=38 points in 33 contests. His 27 assists, 120 shots and +18 rating were also team highs. The 6-1, 190-pound center ranked tied for 10th among Hockey East players in scoring. The BU Terriers fell to the U. of Maine in the Semifinals of the Hockey East tournament on Friday, Mar. 19. Selected by San Jose in the sixth round (173rd overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Bonino was acquired by Anaheim with goaltender Timo Pielmeier in exchange for left wing Travis Moen and defenseman Kent Huskins on Mar. 4, 2009.
