European defenseman Victor Hedman is vying with John Tavares to be the top overall pick, and made his own sales pitch on Thursday. "I've been playing against men for two years now, playing over 20 minutes (per game)," Hedman told NHL.com on Thursday. "I think of myself as an impact player, I can play in all kinds of situations. That's the biggest reason. I bring a winning mentality to the team. I do whatever it takes to win. I really hate to lose. I do whatever it takes -- if that means I have to fight someone, I'll do it. If it's a one-goal game, I want to play. If there's 10 minutes left, I want to play all 10 minutes. Just do whatever it takes to win."
