Phoenix Coyotes' General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled forward Joakim Lindstrom from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. Lindstrom, 25, was acquired from the Anaheim Ducks on Dec. 3 and has recorded 1-1-2 in his first three games with San Antonio. Prior to the trade, he had registered 7-14-21 and 33 penalty minutes (PIM) in 21 games for the Iowa Chops of the AHL. In 2007-08, Lindstrom split the season between the NHL and AHL, collecting 3-4-7 in 25 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets and recording 25-35-60 in 49 games with Syracuse. He established both NHL and AHL career-highs in goals, assists and points last season. A native of Skelleftea, Sweden, Lindstrom has appeared in 37 career NHL games, recording 4-4-8 and 18 PIM. He has also appeared in 200 career AHL games, recording 73-109-182 and 189 PIM with Syracuse and Iowa. The 6-foot-1, 196-pound Lindstrom was originally drafted by Columbus in the 2nd round (41st overall) of the 2002 Entry Draft.
