Calgary Flames right wing Jarome Iginla, Colorado Avalanche goaltender Peter Budaj and Detroit Red Wings right wing Marian Hossa have been named the NHL's 'Three Stars' for the week ending October 26. FIRST STAR - JAROME IGINLA, RW, CALGARY FLAMES Iginla led all scorers with seven points (five goals, two assists) in three games as the Flames recorded three wins for the week. He began the week by scoring a goal in a 2-1 victory over the Washington Capitals on Oct. 21. On Oct. 23, he notched a hat-trick in a 5-3 win over the Nashville Predators. He finished the week by notching one goal and two assists in a 4-1 win over the Phoenix Coyotes on Oct. 25. The seven-point week brings Iginla's season total to 10 (6-4--10), tied for 15th in overall NHL scoring. SECOND STAR - PETER BUDAJ, G, COLORADO AVALANCHE Budaj posted a 3-0-0 record with a 1.62 goals-against average and .941 save percentage as the Avalanche recorded three victories for the week. He stopped 26 of 29 shots in a 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Oct. 20 and made 25 saves in a 4-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Oct. 23. On Oct. 25, he stopped 29 shots through overtime and three of five shootout attempts as Colorado defeated the Buffalo Sabres, 2-1, in a shootout. THIRD STAR - MARIAN HOSSA, RW, DETROIT RED WINGS Hossa tied for second among all scorers with six points (three goals, three assists) in three games as the Red Wings recorded three victories for the week. Hossa began the week by recording one assist in a 4-3 win over the St Louis Blues on Oct 22. On Oct. 24, he notched two goals and one assist as Detroit defeated the Atlanta Thrashers, 5-3. He finished the week by tallying one goal and one assist, as well as the shootout winner, in a 6-5 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Oct. 25. Hossa is tied for sixth in League scoring with 11 points (4-7--11) in eight games.
