The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned forward Alexandre Picard to the Syracuse Crunch, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today. Picard, 21, has scored five goals and four assists for nine points with 22 penalty minutes in 16 games with Syracuse and has appeared in two games with Columbus this season. He joined the Crunch after ranking second on the Blue Jackets in scoring during the preseason with 3-2-5 in five games. He has collected 14 penalty minutes in 18 games with Columbus in 2005-06. He also tallied 15-15-30 and 52 penalty minutes in 45 AHL games with Syracuse during his rookie season.
