The Los Angeles Kings have recalled defenseman Jon Klemm from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and assigned forward John Zeiler to the Monarchs, Kings' President/General Manager Dean Lombardi today announced. Klemm, 37, has one assist and 24 penalty minutes in 21 games with the Monarchs while serving as the team?s captain this season. The 6-2, 205-pound native of Cranbrook, British Columbia, has also appeared in five games with the Kings this season, registering zero points and two penalty minutes. A veteran of 14 NHL seasons who signed with the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on August 20, 2007, Klemm has recorded 142 points (42-100=142) and 428 penalty minutes in 756 career NHL games with the Kings, Dallas, Chicago and Colorado/Quebec. Zeiler, 25, has one assist and 23 penalty minutes in 34 games with the Kings this season. The 6-0, 193-pound native of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, has played in 57 career NHL games ? all with the Kings ? and has four points (1-3=4) and 45 penalty minutes. Zeiler signed with the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on February 17, 2007.
