Once Peter Forsberg is ready to commit to playing in the NHL again, the Flyers intend to be in the mix to sign the 34-year-old center, general manager Paul Holmgren affirmed Monday. There have been reports recently that Forsberg is nearing a decision on where to resume his playing career and that he could sign a contract with an NHL team within two or three weeks. If the Flyers are having talks with Forsberg's agent Don Baizley, Holmgren's not letting on. "I don't think Peter knows yet for sure because I don't think he's tested his foot the way he wants to test it," Holmgren said. "When the time is right, they'll contact teams. If he's healthy and he wants to continue to play we certainly have interest."
