"A chip off the old block" may be an expression nearing extinction as each new generation seems to get progressively better than the one before. Without exception is the case of Senators prospect Nick Foligno, who has lived his entire life in the shadow of his father. For the past three seasons, Nick Foligno has been a member of the Ontario Hockey League's Sudbury Wolves, a team for which he has amassed 196 points in as many games on the strength of 65 goals and 131 assists. Foligno's coach for the entire tenure has been his father, Mike, who played 1,018 games in the NHL over 16 seasons.
