Assuming no further injuries for the Predators this week, the most likely players to get reassigned are forwards Matt Ellison and Josh Langfeld, defenseman Janne Niskala and one of two goalies ? Dan Ellis or Pekka Rinne. Ellison, Langfeld and Ellis would have to clear waivers if reassigned, meaning they would be subject to getting claimed by other NHL teams. The 6-3, 216-pound Langfeld might prove a tempting target, especially for a team that's suffered an injury or two during the preseason. A defensive-minded right wing, he has 141 games of NHL experience, including 33 with Detroit last season. "You see that kind of thing happen all the time near the end of training camp, with guys that teams maybe wanted to sign during the offseason, or with teams that have had guys injured,'' Predators general manager David Poile said. "There were a lot of teams interested in (Langfeld) in the offseason."
