The Maple Leafs announced today that the club has acquired a conditional pick from the 2017 NHL Entry Draft from the Ducks in exchange for goaltender Jonathan Bernier.

Bernier, 27, played in 38 games (36 starts) for Toronto during the 2015-16 season, posting a 12-21-3 record, a .908 save percentage (SV%) and 2.88 goals-against-average (GAA). The Laval, Quebec native also started in four games for the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, posting a 4-0-0 record, three shutouts and a 1.25 GAA. For his career, Bernier has an 88-88-23 record through 213 NHL games (194 starts) with 12 career shutouts.
