The Avalanche announced today that the team has acquired forward Mikkel Boedker from the Coyotes in exchange for forward Alex Tanguay, forward Conner Bleackley and defenseman Kyle Wood.

Boedker, 26, ranks third on the Coyotes in scoring this season with 39 points (13g/26a) while appearing in all 62 games.
 
Selected by the Coyotes in the first round (eighth overall) of the 2008 Entry Draft, Boedker has registered 213 points (80g/133a) in 445 career NHL games.
