The Ducks announced today that the club has acquired right wing Corey Tropp from the Blackhawks in exchange for right wing Tim Jackman and a seventh-round selection in the 2017 NHL Draft.
 
Tropp, 26, has appeared in 148 career NHL games with Buffalo and Columbus, collecting 27 points with 133 penalty minutes . The forward has scored 28 points in 51 games with the Albany Devils of the AHL this season. Selected by Buffalo in the third round (89th overall) of the 2007 NHL Draft, Tropp was on loan to Albany from the Rockford IceHogs, Chicago’s primary development affiliate in the AHL.
 
Jackman, 33, scored 2 points with 33 PIM in 22 games this season with the San Diego Gulls, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the AHL. Acquired from Calgary in exchange for a sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Draft on Nov. 21, 2013, Jackman has collected 75 points with 806 PIM in 483 career NHL games with Columbus, Phoenix, Los Angeles, New York Islanders, Calgary and Anaheim.
