Red Wings coach Mike Babcock will visit here Monday or Tuesday to discuss the Sharks head coaching vacancy, according to a credible Michigan web site.

Citing an unnamed source, Red Wings beat writer Ansar Khan of mlive.com said that San Jose is one of four teams that sought permission to talk with Babcock, whose contract with Detroit is expiring. Efforts to reach Sharks general manager Doug Wilson for comment Sunday were unsuccessful.
