The Lightning have traded goaltender Evgeni Nabokov to the Sharks today in exchange for future considerations, vice president and GM Steve Yzerman announced.

Nabokov , 39, played in 11 games with the Lightning this season, posting a 3-6-2 record with a .882 save percentage and a 2.44 goals-against average.  The Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan native has played in 697 career NHL games with Tampa Bay, San Jose and the New York Islanders. Nabokov played 563 of those career games with the Sharks, winning the Calder Trophy as the NHL’s top rookie in 2001.
