The Ducks announced today that the club has acquired defenseman Colby Robak from the Panthers in exchange for defenseman Jesse Blacker and a future conditional draft pick. Robak will report to the Ducks and join the team in Minnesota.

Robak, 24, has collected three assists with 25 penalty minutes in 42 career NHL games with Florida. The defenseman made his NHL debut on Feb. 12, 2012 at the Islanders and recorded his first career NHL point (assist) in a 4-1 victory on Mar. 5, 2013 vs. Winnipeg. Robak appeared in seven games with the Panthers this season, going scoreless. 

Blacker, 23, made his NHL debut with Anaheim on Nov. 28 vs. Chicago, logging 6:03 time-on-ice. He began the season with Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the AHL, scoring 0-5=5 points with nine PIM in 15 games with the Norfolk Admirals.
