David Nonis, Senior Vice President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Friday that the club has signed forward Brandon Kozun to a one-year contract.

Kozun, 24, was acquired by the Maple Leafs on January 22, 2014 from the Kings in exchange for Andrew Crezcenzi. In 75 games this season split between the AHL Manchester Monarchs and the Toronto Marlies, he registered 17 goals, 29 assists and 46 points along with 70 penalty minutes. He ranked third on the Marlies in regular season assists and fourth in points.

Kozun was originally selected by Los Angeles in the sixth-round, 179th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
