Ales Hemsky, who had been mentioned in trade rumors all summer, will be staying with the Oilers this season, according to an NHL.com report.

"He's off the market," Oilers GM Craig MacTavish told reporters Wednesday. "We want [Ales] to come in and make an impression. We want him to play a prominent role."

Hemsky, 30, had nine goals and 11 assists in 38 games last season, his 10th in the NHL and with the Oilers.
