The Ducks announced that the club has signed right wing Kyle Palmieri to a three-year contract through the 2015-16 NHL season.

Palmieri, 22, appeared in all seven Western Conference Quarterfinal games vs. Detroit this spring, co-leading the club in goals (3) and ranking tied for third in scoring (5). In 42 regular-season games, the winger collected 21 points.

Selected by Anaheim in the first round (26th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Palmieri has scored 29 points in 70 career NHL games with the Ducks.

A native of Smithtown, NY, Palmieri was recently invited to attend the U.S. Men’s National Team Orientation Camp from Aug. 26-27 in Arlington, VA. He was a member of Team USA’s gold medal-winning squad at the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship in Saskatoon and Regina.
