Predators President of Hockey Operations/GM David Poile announced today that the club has acquired defenseman TJ Brennan from the Panthers in exchange for forward Bobby Butler.

Brennan, 24, split the 2012-13 season between the Buffalo and Florida organizations, posting 10 points in 29 games with the Sabres and Panthers, and 35 points in 36 games with Rochester (AHL).  

Buffalo's first selection, 31st overall (second round), in the 2007 Entry Draft played three seasons in the QMJHL with St. John's and Montreal from 2006-07, totaling 116 points in 192 games and earning league rookie of the year honors in 2007.
