The Stars scored three goals in 6:17 to tie the game at three in the third period and send it into overtime. Dallas had been 2-8-5 in its previous 15 games against Dallas. "We stuck with the game plan and said between the second and the third we'll put it all on the line here and see what happens," said Dallas goalie Mike Smith, who stopped Pavel Datsyuk, Dan Cleary, and Todd Bertuzzi in the shootout. "Fortunately, we came out with the win."
