The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded center David Steckel to the Anaheim Ducks.

In exchange, the Maple Leafs will receive right-winger Ryan Lasch and Anaheim’s seventh-round pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Lasch will be assigned to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.

Lasch, 26, is a native of Lake Forest, California and was a free agent signing of the Ducks on May 31, 2012. He is currently playing in the Swedish Elite League with the Vaxjo Lakers. Lasch represented Team USA at the 2012 IIHF World Championship and collected two assists in seven games. Last season, he captured the Finnish Elite League scoring title by recording 62 points (24 goals and 38 assists).
