Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli said Thursday he thinks Tim Thomas' plans to take the 2012-13 season off are definitive. During a teleconference, Chiarelli confirmed that he has learned through Thomas' agent, Bill Zito, that Thomas' decision is final.
