Brian Burke, President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Saturday that the club has signed forward Sam Carrick to a three-year entry level contract.
Carrick, 20, played in all 68 games this season for the OHL Brampton Battalion and led the team in goals (37), assists (30), points (67), power-play goals (11) and penalty minutes (104).
The native of Stouffville, Ontario was originally the Maple Leafs fifth choice, selected 144th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
