Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett announced today that the Coyotes have acquired left wing Daniel Carcillo and a 3rd round draft choice in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for right wing Georges Laraque. Carcillo, 22, registered 21-9-30 and 183 penalty minutes (PIM) in 52 games played with the American Hockey League?s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins this season. His 183 PIM ranks 3rd in the AHL. In 2005-06, Carcillo recorded 11-13-24 and 311 PIM in 51 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Carcillo also registered 3-2-5 and 32 PIM in 6 games with the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).
