Philadelphia Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren continues to make the most noise at the NHL trade deadline. Less than 24 hours after turning free-agent-to-be Kyle Calder into a draft pick and young defenseman Lasse Kukkonen, Holmgren swooped in Tuesday morning and plucked away one of the most sought-after goalies on the market, Buffalo Sabres backup Martin Biron. Holmgren sent a second-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft to get the 29-year-old Biron, who is 12-4-1 this year in a backup role to workhorse Ryan Miller. Biron served as a No. 1 for three years before Miller took over the job last season.
