The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed right wing Mike Hoffman to a two-year entry level contract. Per club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed. Hoffman has reported directly to Portland, Anaheim?s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Hoffman, 26 (9/20/80), has played in 35 games with the Manchester Monarchs (AHL) and one game with Portland this season, scoring a combined 6-7=13 points with 101 penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-5, 248-pound winger played the 2005-06 season with the Toronto Marlies (AHL), scoring 2-5=7 points with 103 PIM in 54 games played. He also appeared in one playoff game with the club, going scoreless. A native of Weymouth, Massachusetts, Hoffman signed his first professional contract with Cleveland (AHL) on Sept. 22, 2004.
