Tim Leiweke took over as CEO of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment this offseason and one of his top priorities is to make the Toronto Maple Leafs one of the world's signature sports franchises.

“If you look around world, the great brands are Real Madrid, Manchester United. The Yankees, the Cowboys and the Lakers are there,” he said. “We should aspire with the Maple Leafs to be there.”

The Leafs are one of the NHL's most popular franchises, but haven't won a Stanley Cup in 46 years.
