Suns, Pistons And Heat Become Rose's Frontrunners

According to league sources, the Suns, Pistons and Heat are the early frontrunners to sign the recently waived Jalen Rose.

If Rose signs for the veteran minimum salary, he'd earn $1,178,348 million from his new team for the season, with that team obligated to pay only $744,551 of that amount. The league picks up the difference.

Detroit Picks Up Options On Maxiell And Delfino

Jason Maxiell and Carlos Delfino of the Detroit Pistons had their options picked up for the 2007-2008 season by the club on Friday.

"No question, Maxie showed some great signs, great improvement, and Carlos did the same," said Pistons coach Flip Saunders. "He (Delfino) hasn't shot the ball as well the last couple of games, but overall we're happy with some of the things he's done."

Lawsuit Against O'Neal Dismissed

A federal court jury in Michigan dismissed a lawsuit against Jermaine O'Neal and the Indiana Pacers, the former All-Star confirmmed on Thursday.

The defense presented evidence that Charles Haddad flew to Las Vegas the day after the brawl and had been a regular visitor to the city, the Detroit News reported.
