Pierce Enjoying Knicks Turmoil

Fans of the 29 other teams aren't the only ones enjoying the struggles and turmoil of the New York Knicks this season.

“I enjoy it,” Paul Pierce said before the Celts beat the Knicks, 123-98, last night. “It’s one of the daily soap operas I check out. I think it’s good for the NBA. You need something like this to keep people into it. You had Shaq and Kobe in L.A., and now that they’ve made up you needed something else. So you’ve got Stephon and the coach now. It’s all a soap opera. It’s just shifted to New York now.”

Celtics Suspend Greene For Arrest

The Celtics suspended rookie Orien Greene indefinently following his arrest for driving his sport utility vehicle at more than 90 mph on a city street.

The Celtics' announcement said the point guard would not play Wednesday night against the Knicks in New York, and was being sidelined for "conduct detrimental to the team."

Talk Increases That Bulls Could Go After Garnett Or Pierce

The talk among those on the outside looking in has been less about the Bulls reaching the playoffs than the likelihood they'll package those picks and players currently on the roster for a stud along the lines of Kevin Garnett or Paul Pierce, or get younger still by taking two first-rounders.

A deal gets tougher to make the worse the Bulls' own draft pick is. The current Bulls, of course, would like to drop in the draft order by earning the privilege of being stomped on by Detroit in the first round of the playoffs.
