Ovechkin tries to overcome his three-game drought without a point when the Capitals host the Kings on Thursday.
The reigning Calder Trophy winner, Ovechkin is tied with Tampa Bay's Vincent Lecavalier for third in points (70), and has 33 goals to trail him by one for the league's top spot.
Ovechkin needed 136 games to record his first three-game scoring drought. Only Kent Nilsson (183) and Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux (735) had longer streaks from the start of their careers. [READ] |
