| 16th January, 2007 - 4:47 pm | Press Release - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Sergei Fedorov off Injured Reserve and have assigned forward Alexandre Picard to the Syracuse Crunch, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today. Fedorov is expected to be in the lineup for tonight's game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Fedorov, who missed the last three games, has tallied 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points with 26 penalty minutes in 36 games this season. He is tied for the club lead in goals and ranks third in points, while adding six power play, two shorthanded and two game-winning goals. In 1,091 career NHL games, Fedorov has registered 456-635-1,091.
Picard, 21, has appeared in nine games with the Blue Jackets this season and has collected 14 penalty minutes in 26 career NHL games with the club. In 28 games with Syracuse, he has 7-6-13 and 32 penalty minutes. Columbus's top pick in the 2004 Entry Draft, he has registered 22-21-43 and 84 penalty minutes in 73 career AHL games. [READ] |
