Columbus Assigns Platt To AHL

Press Release - The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned forward Geoff Platt to the Syracuse Crunch, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today.

Platt, 21, has collected two penalty minutes in six games with the Blue Jackets this season and has totaled 0-5-5 and 18 penalty minutes in 21 career NHL games with Columbus. He currently leads Syracuse in goals and power play goals (eight), while ranking second in points having tallied 16-13-29 with 41 penalty minutes in 33 games. In 2005-06, he ranked third on the Crunch in scoring with 30-35-65 and 58 penalty minutes in 68 games as a rookie. [READ]
