Surgery Could End Weight's Career

ESPN - Islanders captain Doug Weight will have shoulder surgery that will certainly finish his season and also could end the center's 18-year NHL career.

Weight, 39, has a torn rotator cuff and labrum in his left shoulder, injuries sustained in November.

He has played through the pain, but said Saturday that he will undergo surgery Thursday. [READ]
