Captials Sign Goaltender Johnson To Two-Year Extension

NHL.com - The Washington Capitals signed goaltender Brent Johnson to a $1.625 million, two-year contract extension Friday.

The 29-year-old would have become an unrestricted free agent July 1. He's earning $575,000 this season. Johnson is 4-5-3 with a 3.50 goals-against average and .893 save percentage this season. He was claimed off waivers from Vancouver in October 2005. He went 9-12-1 last season with a 3.44 GAA and .905 save percentage. [READ]
