The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired center Greg Moore from the New York Islanders in exchange for defenseman Dylan Reese, General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Moore was assigned to the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus? American Hockey League affiliate. The trade is pending the completion of player physicals.
Moore, 25, has registered 14 goals and 17 assists for 31 points and 28 penalty minutes in 62 games with the AHL?s Bridgeport Sound Tigers this season. He is tied for the club lead in shorthanded goals (two), is second in power play goals (six), while ranking fourth in goals and fifth in points. In 286 career AHL games, he has collected 72-91-163, 130 penalty minutes and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +6 with Bridgeport and Hartford. He has added 3-10-13 and 12 penalty minutes in 31 career Calder Cup playoff games.
