Seantors Send Kaigorodov To Phoenix For Comrie

Press Release - Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett announced today that the Coyotes have acquired 23-year-old center Alexei Kaigorodov from the Ottawa Senators for center Mike Comrie.

Kaigorodov recorded 1 assist in 6 games with Ottawa this season. The native of Chelyabinsk, Russia made his NHL debut this season for the Senators at Montreal on Oct. 14. Kaigorodov has also registered 1-4-5 in 12 games with Magnitogorsk in Russia this season.

The 26-year-old Comrie is earning $3 million this season and will be an unrestricted free agent July 1. He has 20 points (7 goals) in 24 games with the Coyotes this season. [READ]
