Hawks' point guard Mike Bibby is proud of the fact that the team is playing better defense this season.

"Our defense is better this year," Bibby said. "We're helping out more, trusting each other more. Everything happens when you're older."

Ray Allen, whose Celtics the Hawks almost eliminated in the first round of the playoffs last spring, sees an improvement as well.

"They discovered a lot about themselves in the playoffs," Allen said. "I said at the end of the year I would be disappointed if they didn't come out and build off the playoffs from last year."
