Canucks Retire Linden's No. 16

AP - Trevor Linden and the Canucks fans who revered him celebrated his career when the team raised his No. 16 to the rafters Wednesday night, as reported by the Associated Press.

The former forward wiped away a tear as he watched the banner bearing his name and number ascend in front of a cheering crowd.

?This is an incredible day,? said the 38-year-old Linden, who spent 16 seasons with the Canucks. ?To the fans of Vancouver and the province of B.C., it?s hard to express my gratitude to you. [READ]
