Latrell Sprewell has been practically begging for more size on the frontline. Today's news explains why. The New York Daily News reports that Marcus Camby has been sidelined indefinitely due to a sore left foot, which only increases the likelihood of the Knicks center missing the Oct. 30 season opener against Michael Jordan and the Wizards. The New York Post says Camby underwent an MRI on his sore foot yesterday - but the Knicks did not divulge the results, as planned, last night. The New York Times says Camby described the pain today as the worst it has been. The Daily News further speculates that GM Scott Layden will try to add a big body to the roster. The Knicks would like to make a deal and both Charlie Ward and Othella Harrington have enhanced their trade value by performing well this preseason. |
